how we treat each other.

the Circuit code of conduct is here to guide members on how to act and behave within our community. not following these rules will result in warnings, then bans.

01

be respectful to everyone

Circuit is built by teenagers, for teenagers, providing a space for everyone. it’s integral that we’re respectful to each other to keep growing. we all have differences and disagreements, but it’s important that we learn and grow from them.

02

keep profanity to a minimum

we want Circuit to feel welcoming for everyone, including younger members and people who are new to tech spaces. using strong language occasionally isn’t the end of the world, but avoid slurs or anything that could make others uncomfortable.

03

be mindful of others

think about how your words, jokes, and actions might land with different people. avoid spamming, derailing conversations, or dominating spaces. give others room to speak, listen when they share, and be open to feedback if someone says something bothered them.

04

keep our community safe for all

safety is a hard non‑negotiable. no harassment, bullying, discrimination, or sharing of personal information (yours too!). if you see something that feels off or unsafe, please tell a moderator or organiser so we can handle it quickly and fairly. be mindful of the content you send or share within the community or to community members. gore, CSAM or NSFW content is not permissible within our community at all and can be safely reported, resulting in instant hard bans.

05

no misconduct is allowed

Circuit is about learning, creating, and growing together. cheating in projects, misrepresenting your work, exploiting systems, or breaking platform rules goes against that spirit. be honest about what you’ve made, give credit where it’s due, and play fair in everything you do.

06

staff decision is final

staff take time out to help provide a brilliant experience and keep the community safe for everyone. challenging or harassing staff actions will lead to further sanctions.

see something? say something.

if you witness or experience anything that breaks these rules, reach out to a moderator or organiser on Discord. you can also email us directly. all reports are handled confidentially and taken seriously.

we want Circuit to be a place where everyone feels safe enough to be themselves, ask questions, and build cool things. these rules exist to protect that.

be sound. build things. have fun.

that’s really all there is to it.
